Pissed off from repeating questions and insane backseating and sweaty from shoveling Maya yesterday on the wolf encolsure build stream was hot.
I'm in the process of clearing some storage and found an old Maya alt VOD from 2021.
It's very rare and hasn't been seen by many. She goes into detail about her SA in college and other stuff.
She was still living at Matthew's house at the time and I believe he appears for a minute or two.

Is it me or maya was cuter back then like her skin was clearer?

Was kinda surprised her huge announcement was just another podcast. Also dont really get why she starts new things if she is already overworked. Maybe a hint that Wine About It is nearing an end. Can totally see Maya not that invested in Wine About it and want to do more produced and informative content related to conservation.

This one seems probably the least “work” intensive. Just gotta sit around the place she lives and record for an hour anyway. Doubt WAB closes too since that’s more of a “place to vent” kinda thing for the both of them anyway
It's fine. They each bring out a weird animal and list a few wikipedia facts about it while the other person reacts and asks questions. Connor feels kinda awkward in this but he'll probably get better at it after a few episodes. Tier list was much better since they are both knowledgeable about birds and could offer actual opinions about them.
QT has her new thing called The Yarn(a takeoff on her boyfriend's podcast The Yard) with Caroline Kwan and Samwitch. It's her new place to vent and do girl talk for a few hours and then they play games. It's a Twitch thing right now but QT has said it's getting great feedback so it's probably going to be an official podcast with a patreon and YouTube channel. It could possibly replace Wine About It if Maya has other things she wants to do.
WAI makes ~$47k per month on Patreon alone, + YouTube ads. Assuming a 40-50% split (producer gets something too) that's a lot of money for ~3-5h of work per week. Can't see anyone walking away from that.
Depends on if WAI is just played out now and maybe they both want to move on. The reason her new podcast thing with Caroline and Sam is working is there are new stories and new energy with three people. It just seems fresh.
Now the biggest issue is Maya brings a much bigger following than Caroline and Samwitch. So you are not going replace WAI's numbers. At least initially.
I remember Maya saying around December/January that she is going to be on Connor's stream every Friday. I assume that idea somehow turned into making this podcast instead. I don't think WAI is going anywhere, QT recently said that Maya is now ok with having guests on the pod.
It's easy money for any content creator which is why there are hundreds of podcasts. Now QT and Maya have two podcasts they do.
QT is probably about to have a third podcast with Samwitch and Caroline Kwan (She asked Nick from the Yard for name suggestions), so Wine About It might get even worse if she gets too tired of talking and Maya doesn't step it up/gets too distracted with her own podcast. It seems like they've completely given up on the visual stuff for Wine About It so I'm guessing they're just gonna keep cashing in the Wine About It patreon money for as long as possible without any investments in making a better product and killing it when it's no longer worth their time.

she said on the most recent fear& patreon ep where it was just her and will that wine about it has basically just become a nice "call between two friends hanging out" kind of thing, but she wants The Yarn/whatever she ends up calling the Caroline/Sam podcast to be like an actual pod with women of twitch
but wine about it earns like $50K a month on patreon so I doubt it's going anywhere lmao
