I'm having an issue in using a proxy.
I have a local persistent socks proxy on port 8090 opened up through an SSH tunnel connected to another machine behind a VPN. I use it when I need to access website blocks, one of which is RedGifs, which there's a lot of content of on here. The proxy works in every application I use it for, both GUI and CLI. But cyberdrop-dl refuses to; the download TUI will flash up, attempt to begin scraping, only to close out with errors. Looking at the log, it seems it attempts to login to SimpCity and fail, citing "Server disconnected". It will then attempt to scrape the next thread, attempting to login and facing the same "Server disconnected" error.
I have tried with both the
--proxy
flag, setting the proxy in the config file, as well as ignoring cyberdrop proxy settings and running the program through
tsocks
, all with the same result. Additionally, changing the login method from either credentials or user_cookie (or both) doesn't change the behavior.
