that all makes sense. i am very out of the loop on the current market as i stopped following such things the last 6 or more years ago, maybe more. i know that there are all kinds of car buffs that like different things, some like a completely original car, others like every bell and whistle in existence. so to each their own. my only recent example is i randomly looked at ford GT and it was at least 500k, and i remember when they could be had for around 100k. same with some porsche, lambo and ferrari models. what i thought she was doing was buying a lambo or other common exotic and putting a body kit or wrap on it, adding some obnoxiously loud exhaust that isnt tuned and sounds like someone yelling and barking out of the engine. not really adding anything of substance to it other than making it slightly different and one off from factory. i guess i just dont really see how its an investment like she says unless she was doing like you said and buying it when it was on the low side and selling it when its way up. otherwise it sounds like a rather dumb move since the car market is ever changing. must be a crypto bro trend thing
