I know people are saying the chess meta is dead, and the chess thots are moving to other content, but the Botezs are back to heavily leaning into chess and will be in Europe playing a bunch of tournaments for the next month or two. This should help their numbers. Dina Belankaya is also playing.

Alex talked how with Chess if she played and grind she may get WGM title and that's it. Andrea could be WFM. But it would mean going all in on Chess. And it's not worth it. Chess is a small world and there is no money in Chess. They better play poker/dj. And doing all this they get more opportunities.
Counter point. People don't care about them playing poker or DJing. When Alex plays Z-list celebity poker their streams are around 1.0k viewers. Andrea's DJ streams barely hit 2.5k. They hit 13k playing chess today. Now true, their streams get embedded by chess.com, but clearly there is more interest when they try and get serious about chess and play a tournament. Alex isn't stupid and they wouldn't be leaning so hard back into chess and booking all these tournaments all spring and into summer if she felt it wouldn't greatly help their careers.
They are pretty girls but almost all their attention is because they are pretty girls that play chess. Without that gimmick, they lose a lot of their audience and appeal.
Yes views help but i think they wanted to travel. They planed to do their travel show last year but twich wouldn't sponsor. Alex is ruthless business woman and tries to have all her travels sponsored and not waste money, so chess tournaments are a good reason to travel. Also they have a lot eu viewers so eu streams get good views. Chess seems to be bigger in eu.

I think part of the problem is Alex, while she can be entertaining and have good banter at times, seems rather boring in person, and as much as they try to push Andrea to be the focal point of the stream, she cant really carry content. They really failed to capitalize off the boom they got from covid by aligning themselves with shitty orgs and Justaminx.
Wish Andrea would show off her ass more, she has a pretty nice ass.

At least with Europe they are trying to MAKE money. They are playing in chess tournaments and that also requires a great deal of prep and they have a few GM coaches they are also paying good money to help them. It's mostly for content and to pump up their numbers and it has been working since they are getting 20k viewers between Twitch and YouTube every time they play. Now Andrea's DJing is not making them any money cause it is an expensive hobby and she is probably paying the clubs for the spots.
